The ARI Anchor Handling Simulator is a specialised extension of the Offshore Bridge Simulator designed to master the high-risk process of deploying and retrieving anchors in deep-sea environments. Anchor handling is a critical part of offshore installation and maintenance, requiring a deep understanding of the physical forces acting on the vessel and the anchor line. This simulator provides a richly detailed, physics-based environment where trainees can practise the entire sequence of operations, from the initial interpretation of the anchor pattern to the final retrieval of the anchor from the seabed. The accuracy of the hydrodynamic models ensures that operators experience the real-world tension and movement of the equipment.
KEY FEATURES
Physics-Based Simulation
Accurate modelling of anchor and wire behaviour in the water.
Full Winch Control
Realistic control interfaces for operating anchor winches in parallel with steering.
Pattern Planning
Training in the interpretation and transmission of anchor patterns.
Pennant Wire Handling
Detailed simulation of picking up pennant wires and anchors.
Multi-Vessel Missions
Supports synchronised operations involving multiple vessels.
Symmetry with Bridge
Operates in parallel with vessel handling systems for total coordination.
