Anchor Handling

Anchor Handling

ARI's Anchor Handling Simulator provides a richly detailed training environment for anchor handling training.

Operating from the simulator aft bridge station the system supports team based learning, including both active engineering and ship handler features.   Anchor handling operations can be undertaken in fully manual mode, under joystick control or in DP modes.  A full suite of controls and functionalities are implemented including winches, towing pins, shark-jaws and other controls involved in basic, intermediate and advanced anchor handling operations.  The Anchor Handling Simulator can be integrated within an ARI OSV Vessel Bridge Simulator installation, or can be delivered as a standalone simulation tool.

The ARI Anchor Handling Simulator uses extremely advanced algorithms and behavioral models to simulate the interacting and linked effects of entities such as chains, ropes, wires, anchors, shackles, winches and environmental forces as a fully integrated, complex system.   Anchor systems also interact with the hydrodynamic, propulsion and mathematical model of the anchor handling vessel.

With incredibly detailed graphics yielding extreme realism and with options including ARI Immersion Station, the AH simulator has been proven to add value in both safety and efficiency gains in both manual and auto positioned anchor handling operations
