Energy Simulator for Blackpool and Fylde College, UK
Blackpool and The Fylde College one of UK’s leading Further Education colleges, selects ARI for providing a fully immersive "Energy Simulator".
The Energy Simulation suite will comprise the following elements:
- Energy Simulator Operating Area.
- Student briefing and observation area
- Main Control Console (MCC).
- Instructor Control Room (ICR)
- PC Classroom
The ARI Energy Simulator will allow the operator to be trained on end-to-end process of sourcing energy to supplying demand and have the ability to switch between different front-end energy creation methods and showing the flow through to end output. The simulator will facilitate response and reaction to different scenarios, so that students and staff can input faults and then visualise, measure and potentially compare the impact of their actions. It will also cater for curriculum of five levels of NVQ.
The Front-end energy creation methods will include:
- Nuclear Plant
- Wind Farms
- Solar Farms
The simulator will aid in the provision of education, training and assessment in accordance with FD Nuclear Engineering and BEng (hons) Nuclear Engineering requirements, as well as position Blackpool and Fylde College as the premier energy simulation training facility for the conduct of research and deliver training to commercial clients.
