Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL) selects ARI Simulation to provide a VTS Simulator for its Training Centre at Deep Bhavan, Kolkata
ARI Simulation has been chosen by DGLL, through a global tender process, to supply, install, test, commission and maintain what will probably be the largest VTS Simulation centre in India, on a turnkey basis. The VTS simulator will be used to train VTS personnel in conformity with IALA recommendations. The design of the simulator involves a variety of hardware and software modules that collect, integrate, assess and display sensor data in a manner that provides a comprehensive representation of the vessel traffic situation to VTS operators. The simulator will fulfill the requirements for surveillance of coastal areas, large ports, small ports, rivers or offshore installations. The simulator will train up to eight VTS personnel at a time and has been custom designed to meet the exacting requirements of DGLL for layout, project execution, training modules and long term system usability and performance.
